Pallet Design Service

At MAVIN Pallet, all of our pallets are custom. Using our Pallet Design Service (PDS), we determine the right species of lumber and design exactly what you need based on load analysis, support conditions (how the pallet will be stored and in what environment), production conditions, conditions of pallet use, environmental factors and more.

GMA Pallets (48″ x 40″)

The Grocery Manufacturers Association has rebranded as the Consumer Brands Association. The association establishes pallet specifications for food and beverage transportation. A standard GMA pallet size is 48” x 40” and must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum load-bearing capacity of 2,500 pounds
• Four-way forklift entry with two notches on the side
• Top and bottom deck boards that are 5/8” thick

Drum Pallets (48″ x 48″)

Wood drum pallets by MAVIN are used by multiple industries to transport oil, chemicals and other liquids and materials. Our drum pallets measure 48” x 48” and are designed specifically for use with 55-gallon drum containers. These drum pallets are:

• Rigid and capable of bearing heavy loads, due to their construction
• Constructed with two stringers in the center of the pallet for added strength

Block Pallets

Block pallets are true four-way entry pallets. Our block pallets typically use 4 – 12 solid wood blocks to support the top deck boards. MAVIN Pallet also specializes in chemical block pallets. These pallets are designed for use in the chemical and plastic production industries. Chemical pallets from MAVIN are:

• Often used to handle granular bags of raw material, as well as drums and other containers
• Can combat toxic and corrosive chemical spills. Our chemical pallets are marked according to models CP1-CP9. They are also ISPM 15 certified and meet the International Plant Protection Conventions (IPPC) regulations.

Skid Pallets

A skid is another term for a single deck pallet. This means that this type of wood pallet has a top deck but not a bottom deck. Skids are pallets that are typically used for storing heavy objects.

Winged Pallets

MAVIN Pallet offers single and double-winged pallets. Pallet wings are the overhang of pallet deck boards over the blocks or stringer boards. If only one face of the pallet has wings, the pallet is called a single-winged pallet. If both the top and the bottom of the pallet have wings, it’s a double-winged pallet. This is meant to increase the unit-load area, add pallet load-bearing capacity and reduce deck board-end splitting by fasteners.

Mavin Shipping Crates

MAVIN Pallet also provides high-quality shipping crates, made from timber that we harvest sustainably and then turn into lumber in our on-site sawmill. Our shipping crates are designed to get your products safely to their destination. They are lightweight, non-stackable and engineered for your exact application.

Blockage And Dunnage

MAVIN Pallet also provides wood blockage, sometimes known as hardwood cants or railway ties, for bracing, providing a base in wood-framed construction or supporting heavy machinery. We also offer heat-treated, ISPM 15-certified dunnage, used to secure freight, cargo and packages during shipping.
